Mont-Ele's social responsibility management system, certified on January 28, 2020 in accordance with SA8000:2014®, was successfully audited by TUV during 2021. This certification attests to the validity of the actions implemented by the Company and the Social Performance Team. .
The performance indicators defined and monitored by the Social Performance Team are all positive despite the past year having seen the accumulation of various problems related to numerous delivery deadlines during the pandemic.
Particularly regarding safety, the severity index in 2020 decreased compared to 2019 and does not raise concerns about the proper management of the safety management system.
The results analysis shows that the implementation of the OHSMS keeps the injury rate very low for temporary disability, and negligible for permanent disability and fatalities.
The Social Performance Team met regularly, reviewing the implementation of ongoing improvement actions, particularly those related to the involvement of Mont-Ele's suppliers in the application of Social Responsibility principles.
Approximately 250 letters were sent, and the acceptance rate for Mont-Ele’s Social Responsibility Policy was 57.71%. Adherence letters were sent along with the prequalification questionnaire to more than 30 new suppliers added in 2020, including both product and service providers.
Individual interviews using a specific questionnaire on safety and social responsibility aspects were also conducted with the personnel of service providers operating in the factory, in order to increase supplier engagement.
Mont-Ele management therefore reaffirms its commitment to maintaining the SA8000:2014® Management System active and operational, and to continuously improving its effectiveness.
Particularly during the last Management Review (which also covers the topics of Mont-Ele's other certifications: ISO 9001-ISO 14001-ISO 45001-EMAS), which takes place with the participation of the Workers' Safety Representative (RLS), the following objectives were confirmed:
